Biro Klasifikasi Indonesia’s President Director Rudiyanto, symbolically handed over aid to the local flood sufferer living nearby BKI’s Head Office on Friday, 13 February 2015. The event took place at the RW 010 Resident Hall of Kebon Bawang Local District, District of Tanjung Priok, was also attended by Local District Administrator Lilies Asnawaty, BKI’s Director of Finance and Administration Timbul Tambunan, RW 010 Board Member, and local residents.

The 200 packages aid containing nine basic principal need (sembako) will be distributed to RW 010 residents which suffered from the floods that hit Jakarta last 9-11 February.

Welcoming speech from RW 010 resident was delivered by the LMK Chairman, Mahdalina. “We are very grateful for the attention from BKI as a company that has been 50 years existing in our neighborhood. We hope that BKI also concern the RW 010 residents in terms of employment, education, and others, not just only cares in the event of disaster,” said Mahdalina.

BKI President Director Rudiyanto in his speech said that this aid is form of corporate concern and responsibility to relieve surrounding resident disaster distress. “If it is views from the value this aid may be small, but this is a form of our concern and willingness to help to relieve RW 010 resident distress,” said Rudiyanto.

The Kebon Bawang Local Distric Administrator Lilies Asnawaty in his speech said that she was delighted that BKI cares and willing to help   surrounding community. “We feel happy and grateful that BKI as a corporate has initiative to take care and help the surrounding communty. I have planned to make courtessy visit the BKI Office, but Thank God BKI came first and we can meet here in this occasion,” said Lilis who just commissioned to Kebon Bawang about a month ago.

After the speeches and symbolic aid hander over, the event continued with informal courtesy talk and group photos between BKI delegation, local authorities and residents. **
