The International Maritime Organization (IMO) Maritime Safety Committee (MSC) 96 session held in the IMO headquarters, London on 11-20 May 2016. The session is planned to take important decisions related to some current issue in the maritime world.
Important agendas discussed in the MSC 96 include:
• Reports of related compliance audit team Global Base Standard (GBS) by 12 weight classifications. Audit team reports related to the Global Base Standard (GBS) compliance of 12 classification societies.
• Safety standards for ships carrying personnel more than 12 man
• Amendments of mandatory instruments related to amendments of SOLAS, ESP Code, FSS Code, IS Code, IMDG Code, STCW Convention, and ICLL P88
• Maritime security issues related to cyber security
• Accident statistics and recommendations from the expert group Formal Safety Assessment (FSA)
• Safety of passenger ships
