Indonesia’s navy has announced that it has located a product tanker which disappeared last week, taken by its crew after a dispute with management.
The Vier Harmoni disappeared in Malaysian waters last week, with early reports speculating that the vessel had been the victim of piracy. It was carrying 900,000 litres of diesel when it disappeared.
The Indonesia navy found the vessel with the Indonesian crew of ten onboard off West Kalimantan province, Borneo. The vessel is now being escorted to Tanjung Pinang for further investigation.
The Indonesian flagged 950 dwt ship is owned by Jakarta-headquartered Vierlines.
