PADECO, an international development consulting company, headquartered in Tokyo, is active worldwide with experience in more than 110 countries, represented by Mr. Akira Watanabe, Senior Consultant in the Division of Development of transport infrastructure, accompanied by Bambang Prasetya, its representative in Indonesia, visit at the Head office of Indonesian Classification Society (BKI), Jl Yos Suradso 38 Jakarta - Indonesia and received directly by Mr. Sjaifuddin Thahir, Corporate Communications, on March 6, 2015.

Padeco visit to BKI as a national classification society owned by the Government of Indonesia, in order to make an assessment of potential cooperation to assist Indonesian government in preparing the implementation plan with the ship inspection conventions and non-convention standard in Indonesia, which has been launched by Government of Indonesia, 10 years ago.

Besides that, the observation of the possibility of Japanese investors in the development and construction of the shipyard and port infrastructure in the eastern region of Indonesia to support commercial, industrial sector of maritime and fishing boats and ferry. Padeco who has expertise with a variety of multi-disciplinary backgrounds will together with BKI assist Indonesia government in providing professional solution that is efficient and effective and feasibility studies shipyard construction projects including market demand forecasts, economic analysis.

Presented by Watanabe that it needs one concept of the development of shipbuilding and port along with its layout. The visit was planned to be followed up by some other meeting on the next to come.
