Japanese shipbuilder and ship designer Mitsui Engineering & Shipbuilding (MES) delivered the 60,000 dwt bulk carrier MV Ocean Makmur on April 27.
The shipbuilder said that the vessel, which was constructed at its Tamano shipyard, features a length of around 200 meters and a withd of 32 meters.
With 34,578 gross tons, the bulk carrier was constructed for Indonesian company Indofood Sukses Makmur, according to data provided by VesselsValue.
The 24th ship of Mitsui Engineering & Shipbuilding’s eco-ship neo60BC class has a market value of USD 26.4 million.
The Singapore-flagged ship, which has a capacity of 76,121 m3, is equipped with four cranes and five cargo holds.
It is designed for loading various cargos like coal, ore, grain, as well as lengthy/heavy cargo such as steel pipe and hot coil.
MES informed that the new form of the bow and stern makes it possible to keep good performance in rough sea conditions as well as calm sea conditions and shows better maneuverability.
The shipbuilder added that, considering strengthened restriction for SOx, the ship has low sulfur fuel oil tanks, which are designed for operation in ECA (Emission Control Areas).
